Let me start off by saying that I’ve had MANY of lobster/lobster rolls all around the world. I did a New England trip last week so obviously I was trying all the places. I got a buttered lobster roll with a side of fried pickles. Pickles were done very well…service was prompt. But the lobster that was in this roll was the best I’ve ever tasted in my life so far. I’ve never tasted anything like it..it was so sweet it basically melts in your mouth. My husband tasted it first and said “Oh! Oh wow…thats like a dessert.” Anyway…none of the “go to spots” along the way up past Portland are anything close to this. 👏👏👏👏

I try to come here at least once a summer. The lobster roll was delicious and the fries were fantastic. My spouse likes to have the crab roll on occasion. An absolute recommend.

I came by with friends whose prior visit warranted a return visit. Excellent lobster roll with butter versus mayo and a cup of clam chowder made for an excellent lunch.

Simply put, this may be the best fried clams in all of Maine. A roadside institution since 1956, Bob's has earned its reputation — the clams are huge, the breading is excellent, and the portions are generous. Always busy, and for good reason. One important note: they close at 7 PM, so plan accordingly. Whether you're coming down from the coast or passing through on Route 1, do not skip this one.

Absolutely Worth the Hype!
Visited Bob’s Clam Hut in Kittery, Maine and it blew my expectations out of the water. I ordered the buttered lobster rolland the Bob & Betty special with scallops and shrimp — and let me tell you, this was hands-down the freshest seafoodI’ve ever had. The scallops were a standout — crispy, perfectly fried, and not greasy at all. Zero oil pooling at the bottom, just clean, flavorful bites of the ocean. The shrimp was equally delicious and the portion size was super satisfying. The lobster rollwas buttery, sweet, and packed full — everything you want in a Maine classic. Yes, the line was long, but totally worth the wait. Even with the crowds, they had enough seating for everyone, and the casual, coastal vibe made the experience even better. You can tell this is the go-to spot for fresh, no-frills New England seafood. If you’re anywhere near Kittery, this place is a must-visit. #BobsClamHut #YorkMaineEats #SeafoodLovers #LobsterRoll #Scallops #ShrimpPlate #MaineSeafood #FoodieFinds #NewEnglandEats #5StarBite #WorthTheWait #SeafoodHeaven #TravelEats #ClamHutClassic

Classic fried seafood joint with outside and inside seating. Quite pricy but really tasty. Got the lobster roll and it was delish. The fried clams were also quite tasty. It’s counter service only so no real point giving stars there. Gets super crowded around lunchtime so plan on waiting.

Really good lobster roll, we came here in March which is off season for most lobster restaurants. The lobster tasted fresh and was not chewy. You can order half buttered and half mayo if you aren’t sure which one you want. Clam chowder was very creamy and not fishy at all. Highly recommend stopping by! Prices are reasonable and our food came out quickly and was very hot!

We had to try the lobster 🦞 roll for $32. It’s pricey but absolutely worth it. They don’t skimp on amount of lobster. Delicious 😋 for sure. The fried oysters were great too; very clean tasting. Will definitely be back. We learned that Robert’s Maine Grill across the street is the same owner. We’ve eaten there too and lobster 🦞 salad is delicious too!!

Their lobster roll and calamari left me speechless. The best of each i’ve had in my life and I don’t think anything can top them. The lobster roll was incredibly juicy and filled to the brim and worked perfectly with the buttered roll. The calamari was fried so well and had the best combination of being juicy and savory. I would drive 6 hours to have this again!
